Adam welcomes Chloe to the team at Newman Media®.

The Young and the Restless®
season 48 episode 209

Sharon helps Tara and Kyle.

Above all this stands Ashland Locke, dying of stage four lung cancer calling the merging of Newman Enterprises and The Locke Corporation under the unified merged umbrella Newman-Locke® Company “the highlight of [my] business career.”

With highs come lows. Ashland celebrates the merger for all of 3 minutes before understandably lamenting “the business that I planned on handing down to my son.”

Questions about handing the “business” down to the son:

  1. Locke’s business or the company?
  2. both?

what is the difference between questions 1 and 2 above?

Seems as Newman Enterprises was in the business of handling other people’s company’s no matter the business, be it cosmetics or media or any good or service. Maybe these matters will become clearer in coming episodes!

Marriage contracts, as other contracts, must be signed, sealed and delivered. As an attorney I learned the kindness of strangers through this reality. Walking in a glow of victory over a contract that I did not think would ever be completed, a young man tapped me on the shoulder as I was delivering the contract from the New York City Bar Association on West 44th Street 5 blocks to a law firm still located in the Met Life building. I had told the firm, “Forget the provess server, this is a 10-minute walk I would be glad to make.” The weqather was early winter, dark and misting snow – and I listened to the young man, “Sir, I think you dropped this.”

I had been holding the contract in an FedEx waterproof envelope which unbeknownst to me had fall from where I was clutching it under my right arm until the water let the contract slide out from me and on to the street. I said to the young man, “Sir, you just saved my life.” He did change my life – had I lost that contract on that late afternoon in December the blowback would have been epic enough for the firm to send me packing.

It was delivered, yet to this day, decades later, I never told the partners who might have put me out on my own but for the kindness of this stranger.

Yes, most people are good.

The Bold and the Beautiful episode 181 made the room light up with talk about the old saying “it’s not what you wear, it’s where you wear it thus how you wear it,” a complement to the better known “it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.”

The Bold and the Beautiful
season 34, episode 181

In this episode, we see the one of the wealthiest and most powerful men alive, Bill Spencer, Jr from prison. His clothes? The exact same scrubs as the angelic (for now) character John “Finn” Finnegan, with the only difference being the ‘L.A. County Jail’ stamps on the back of the shirts.

This happens in other places. Tuxedos! One can wear a tuxedo and receive the Academy Award for the Best Director of the Year. Also, tuxedos are often maitré de mandatory at diners that serve cheeseburgers and eggs. Golfing clothes are often seen on people serving community service as punishment for a D.U.I.

The tempo charts below are based on the song by the Beatles called Let It Be, which was also brought up in the television room after Bill Spencer outlashes at Wyatt in frustration about the actions of Liam. “God, I took care of everything – why couldn’t Liam just have let it be?”

Google shows how the three words ‘family’ ‘company’ and ‘business’ drastically shifted with the rise of women in the 1950s

The Young and the Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful, two American serial dramas in year 48 and 34 respectively on television, have returned after a fantastic adjustment to life during a pandemic.

The families of #The Bold and the Beautiful®️ are based in Los Angeles and its culture of fashion designing and publication.  The families of The Young and the Restless® are based in Genoa City, Wisconsin and its culture of communication, cosmetic companies.

Serial dramatic series, called originally “Operatic Dramas” and teased by some as “Soap Operas” are the longest running dramas on television.  When people cry, “Oh I never watch those shows” it reminds me of all the 70 million people who would never think of buying a Barry Manilow album or the 50 million copies of a Phil Collins album where people assert “[I’d never think of listening to].”  Right.

When I was 12, I, like so many of you, already lost 3 close family members to battles with cancer.
Alyvia Alyn Lind, as Faith Newman, does a most wondrous job of showing exactly how it feels to have the weight of this disease hurts you while at the same time having the determination not to allow it to affect her life more than her mother, played by Sharon Case, would want.

The song “My Brave Face” by Paul McCartney was written as a reaction to the death of Paul’s wife Linda.  Linda also died of cancer and the emotions one goes through in trying to stop an invisible killer could only be turned into a silver-lining song by the best of songwriters and performers — as that of a Sir Paul.

Ridge and Brooke are still having serious problems in their marriage.

If I could speak for every Bold and Beautiful fan, which is ridiculous, but assuming for one minute I could, I’d shout: “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Sally!” (and more story-lines for Donna!)
