The Christmas Eve episode of The Bold and the Beautiful featured a trio of musical talents across the company of players and the entire episode was as though shot on the first take in real time. That’s old school, indeed, speaking of Grand Dude, the name Zende attaches to his grandfather Eric.

John McCook led the way with a self-accompanied Deck The Halls with the entire Forrester Christmas party joining in.

Next were two stirring solo performances. First, the blues-stylings of Kiara Barnes playing the character of Zoe Buckingham singing Jingle Bells, followed by the haunting and rhapsody-like rending of Silent Night as performed by sister Paris Buckingham.

The evening was rounded out by a reprise of Mr. McCook as Eric leading his entire company in Joy To The World on the piano.

Episode 66 features the fantastic Lawrence Saint Victor as Carter Walton, with his expectations at such a high level that one fears for him.

We see Zoe with wandering eye for Zende. By contrast, one-woman Carter has no other women on his mind or in his orbit of relationships.

Haven’t you had, uh, friends, yes, very good friends to whom this has happened? The pedestal for your fiance is not necessarily a good thing.

If there is anything that qualifies as good family karma, it is when your family is a major hospital philanthropist, then a neurosurgeon saves a life in your family.

Such is the case with the Forresters, as the life of Thomas was saved through the physicians and surgeons made available only through donation.

In that light, this episode features Paris Buckingham, the sister of Zoe Buckingham, yet unrelated to the Fleetwood mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham (just seeing if anyone’s reading!) telling the new C.O.O. of Forester, Mr Carter Walton.

Charlie makes a fantastic walk on appearance not only returning a full mannequin but telling us what a “10-22” means in Forrester Creations code. (a raccoon in the losses in the parking lot)

The December 11, 2020 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful features the outstanding acting of Rena Sofer as Quinn Forrester.

The American actor Rena has a most entertaining way of delivering her lines and embracing the character that she takes from the writers’ page on to the television, iPad or any device carrying CBS All-Access®!

“Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actress, known for her appearances in daytime television, episodic guest appearances, and made-for-television movies. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General Hospital” (biography courtesy of Google® and IMDb®) ➝  https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0812133/

The 57th episode of the Bold and the Beautiful this season featured the fabulous John McCook weighing the glory of love and empathy of forgiveness against being disappointed by the one a person trusts the most.

Similarly, Liam shows a true person who must weigh forgiveness against the disappointments that truth often brings. The title of the 1990s movie Reality Bites starring Wynona Ryder speaks for itself.

Meanwhile, neurosurgeon and emergency room physician John “Finn” Finnegan shows excellence as he saves a life of Thomas who suffered a life-threatening subdural hematoma.

Episode 57 of season 48 of The Young and The Restless features the universal threat of the small unruptured brain aneurysm.

Victor and Lily, meanwhile, take law enforcement into their own hands.

In a scene that will never be forgotten, Michael tries to get Billy to settle on a felony issue which must be seen to be believed.

My compliments to the writers and actors for keeping the program going through the virus pandemic. It is loved, appreciated and fun to watch. #YR is just as fun to compare what one thought of how an issue was handled with loved ones. Even my dad has become a huge dan especially of Victor Newman.
