‘I’ve Heard Your Theory Before’ | #yr, s48e206 | CBS/Paramount+ daytime drama genre notes

Looking at this show is like looking at a bunch of rolling stones.

Multiple sclerosis, heart disease, cancer, being shot at, being poisoned, being run out of a Los Angeles A+ fashion house, losing one’s father as a 12 year old, growing up an orphan, being stabbed are all things that have happened to one of the characters that appears today.

I always have a check mark for people that have encountered death especially at a savagely young age in an exceptionally cruel way.

Today’s episode 206 in season 48, was too well written to comment on beyond that. This episode showed an exceptional effort by the writers which appeared to bounce off the actors who are veterans and accustomed to theme and variation on change using characters that have been built over four decades.

In one of the fastest opioid recoveries of all time, Steffy Forrester beats her addiction. Moreover, good Dr. Finnegan is after her

Meanwhile, Zendé is interested in Zoe and the attraction seems mutual. That would be great but for Carter’s wild interest in Hope.

An Insane Amount Of Opioids

Also, Thomas is pining after Hope, who is married to Liam. Liam, secure in his marriage, seems to be leaning to Steffy. As his father Dollar Bill says in this episode to his son William Spencer, Jr: “A part of you will always love Steffy.”

#YR, s48, e42 – ‘Bitterness Doesn’t Become You’

The plot in Genoa City today on the problems of the haves and the wishes they did.

Theo Vanderway, long lost relative to Dina Abbott Mergeron, is bitter that he has been all but shunned from her will while his already rich Abbott cousins seem to take their wealth for granted.

This begrudging jealousy is puzzling.  Theo, though left out of one Abbott will feels bad, is still welcome in the family, and moreover there are plenty of opportunities which the Abbotts have all but handed him.

His talent?  He is a professional “influencer,” which means he tells you what your taste in arts and entertainment ought to be.  You’d think someone with such a job that requires criticism and judgment for everything would have thicker skin than he is showing.
