Episode 213 is no less than a first time all out meeting between Steffy’s parents and Finn’s parents since son Hayes has been born
In Genoa City, much of the suspense of Thursday and Friday’s episodes came from people unknown. Who is holding Mariah? Where is Chance Chancellor? How should Devon act as the head of the Winters family now that Neil is gone? What should Tara do without anything but grifting as a known skill?
On The Bold and the Beautiful in Los Angeles, it is just sex and sorrow mode – sex for Carter and Quinn, sorrow for poor Eric Forrester who has gone through more mortified moments one one week than most could endure in a lifetime. The peak of course was a couple of days ago when the best friend of his son, the man who is the family’s business, personal lawyer, and a certified wedding priest announces he has been having sex with the “groom” who is there to renew his wedding vows. Brutal. By contrast, Paris Buckingham has such savage, perfect luck that even as a character if she sold “Paris’s Luck” unisex cologne/aftershave, I’m buying it.
Last week, it was Eric who was in denial about the realities of his social dilemma.
Starting Monday, it was Ridge. When confronted with the fact that the man handling Eric’s divorce is the same man that slept with Eric’s wife, Ridge covers for Carter telling Steffy that the entire affair is Quinn’s fault. Of course it is , to Ridge. Best friend, C.O.O. of the company he is to inherit is fertile ground to do some serious rationalization of the truth, coined “denial” sometime in the 1980s.
Quinn does play fast and loose with her heart, though. One minute, in a first in her lifetime experience, she and Carter experience unison heartbeats. That was a little, uh, edgy. The next minute, after telling Carter that “just-when-I-thought-you-couldn’t-get-any-better” followed by a Carter chuckle, Quinn tells Carter that she would be heartbroken if Eric were having an affair. Understandably, as Deacon Sharp or Bill Spencer undoubtedly looked at Quinn with the look of, “what the heck? how long does it take you to get over a ‘time stopped’ profession of love? Ten minutes? You can’t even wait until your clothes back on?” Carter gives her a low-key “you can’t be serious” stare that she is not even looking at!
Carter might cut and run now before the garbage hits the fan.
Monday on #yr, Adam made a decision after warnings from his father Victor that Connor be guided and raised most responsibly as he saw the new Chelsea.
On #bb, the Thomas completed his one year transformation from villain to hero.
Marvin Gaye wrote the 1960s song ‘What”s Going On’, and Eric Forrester’s use of the phrase has the same rhythm to it. So one would think: same rhythm, same words, same meaning, right?

The Bold and the Beautiful episode 181 made the room light up with talk about the old saying “it’s not what you wear, it’s where you wear it thus how you wear it,” a complement to the better known “it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.”
In this episode, we see the one of the wealthiest and most powerful men alive, Bill Spencer, Jr from prison. His clothes? The exact same scrubs as the angelic (for now) character John “Finn” Finnegan, with the only difference being the ‘L.A. County Jail’ stamps on the back of the shirts.
This happens in other places. Tuxedos! One can wear a tuxedo and receive the Academy Award for the Best Director of the Year. Also, tuxedos are often maitré de mandatory at diners that serve cheeseburgers and eggs. Golfing clothes are often seen on people serving community service as punishment for a D.U.I.
The tempo charts below are based on the song by the Beatles called Let It Be, which was also brought up in the television room after Bill Spencer outlashes at Wyatt in frustration about the actions of Liam. “God, I took care of everything – why couldn’t Liam just have let it be?”
I watched in Spanish today on Verizon at a friend’s house. I especially commend the voices who play Ridge, Zende and Zoe.
